Reflections often arise instantly—sometimes sparked by a sentence that catches my curiosity or something I see that makes me want to rewatch or relisten. That’s exactly what happened after I listened to Linda Pransky’s recent conversation with Jasmyne on the podcast Dream it! Dare it! Do it! Live the Life You Want. She posed a seemingly simple question: Can we change the way we think in order to think differently? It sounds straightforward, right?
Linda began with a hypothetical scenario: Imagine you’re in a conversation and someone makes a sarcastic, insulting, or hurtful comment. How would you respond? Now, imagine how the outcome might change based on your response. What if, instead of reacting defensively, you made a light-hearted joke, changed the subject, or responded with something genuinely kind?
This kind of shift often disarms the other person and, more importantly, has the potential to change their state of mind. And what allows someone to respond that way? Perhaps they don’t take the insult or behavior personally. While it seems easier said than done, take a moment to consider it. By seeing the situation differently, they experience a different state of consciousness—a different feeling entirely. On the other hand, someone who feels insulted is experiencing the moment from a different state of mind. The way we experience what seems true to us changes our response and our state of consciousness.
Linda brings us back to the simplicity of the message: We all speak from where we are—our state of mind in that moment. The invitation is to question your thoughts, reflect, get curious, and notice what you’re doing. You can change your thoughts. You can change your mind.

Peace isn’t something we need to achieve, chase, or force. Peace is something we notice. That noticing is the first—and most essential—step in our evolution. Once we see it, everything begins to shift.
With honesty, humor, and grounded insight, Linda shows how we can move through life’s challenges with greater ease. It’s not about changing the outside world. It’s about seeing how our thinking shapes our moment-to-moment experience—and recognizing the incredible wellspring of clarity available to us.
In this episode, Linda and Jasmyne explore the powerful transformations that occur when we see our experience differently. It’s like a deep exhale for anyone caught in their head. Letting go of the effort to “work on yourself” allows you to ride the natural flow of thought—and opens up space for something new. Everything becomes possible when we stop trying to manage life and simply live it, one day at a time.
